Ms. Elms obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1997. During college, she worked as an intern in the United States Office of the Associate Attorney General in Washington D.C. Ms. Elms attended law school at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2003. While in law school Ms. Elms received a Moot Court Best Brief Award, served as an Executive Editor for the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, and was a legal extern at the Environmental Protection Agency.
In December 2003, Ms. Elms was admitted to the bar and joined the Law Offices of Russo & Prince as an associate attorney, where she practices primarily in the area of family law. Prior to joining Russo & Prince, Ms. Elms worked as a law clerk in the family law division of Matthew Bender legal publishing. Ms. Elms also has a pre-law background in financial services.
