Esther Wilch joined the Law Offices of Russo & Prince in February of 2016 as an associate attorney. Ms. Wilch moved to California for law school and has made the San Francisco Bay Area her home ever since. Ms. Wilch attended the University of San Francisco School of Law (USF) where she graduated in 2014. Ms. Wilch is passionate about criminal defense and criminal appeals, and she has focused her practice in these areas. Ms. Wilch is a dedicated and compassionate advocate to her clients, treating them with respect and professionalism at every stage of the proceedings.
While in law school, Ms. Wilch focused her studies on constitutional and international legal issues affecting incarcerated and vulnerable populations. She externed for the pro se department of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, where she worked with pro se (self-represented) prisoners in civil rights and habeas corpus actions. Ms. Wilch worked as a family law paralegal prior to entering law school.
As a member of the Frank C. Newman International Human Rights Clinic, Ms. Wilch attended the Human Rights Counsel of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, where she presented on extreme sentencing practices by the United States and lobbied for international support to change these schemes. During her time at USF, Ms. Wilch also worked as a research assistant, was a member of the Moot Court Board and Law Review, and interned with the Project to End Juvenile Life Without Parole.
Since graduating, Ms. Wilch has worked with incarcerated inmates on death row and serving life sentences in post-conviction relief. She is experienced in habeas corpus cases and is well-versed in a variety of criminal appellate issues. Ms. Wilch brings this extensive experience with all facets of the criminal justice system to her work defending those who stand accused of criminal acts here in Solano County.
Ms. Wilch handles all family law matters including dissolution, legal separation, annulment, child custody, child support, spousal support (alimony), property division and domestic violence.
