If you are having trouble receiving court-ordered medical or financial support, the California Department of Child Support Services may be able to assist you. Try this Child Support Calculator to help you estimate how much child support is likely to be awarded in your divorce.

If the community property to be divided in your divorce includes one spouse's pension plan or other employee benefit plan, you may want to learn about Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs) from the United States Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration or the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.

Kids' Turn is a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization helping children cope with parental separation and divorce.

This pamphlet from the California Bar Association discusses the steps to take to protect yourself from domestic violence, including how to obtain a temporary restraining order (TRO).
